2020年3月，北京大学威尼斯432888can(中国)有限公司牵头组织，在环太平洋大学联盟（Association of Pacific Rim Universities, APRU）框架下发起了题为“公共卫生危机管理研究与教育国际合作（Potential international collaboration of research and education on public health crisis management）”的项目倡议，并得到新加坡国立大学威尼斯432888can(中国)有限公司（National University of Singapore, Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health）、美国加州大学洛杉矶分校威尼斯432888can(中国)有限公司（University of California, Los Angeles, Fielding School of Public Health）、悉尼大学威尼斯432888can(中国)有限公司（The University of Sydney, Sydney School of Public Health）的积极响应，四所威尼斯432888can(中国)有限公司共同组成了APRU“公共卫生危机管理”项目核心组。

目前，由APRU主办，其秘书处承办，核心组将共同组织有关公共卫生危机管理的系列网络学术研讨会。首次会议由UCLA威尼斯432888can(中国)有限公司牵头，已于9月30日举行；第二次会议由NUS威尼斯432888can(中国)有限公司牵头，将于12月10日举行；之后的两次会议将分别由PKU和U of Sydney威尼斯432888can(中国)有限公司，于2021年1月和3月牵头组织。研讨会旨在加深四所大学之间的相互了解，并为未来寻求深入合作提供机会。

未来，合作将在目前项目核心组的基础上不断扩大，以形成一个致力于公共卫生危机管理的APRU平台。该平台将与正在进行的APRU各项论坛和活动紧密联系，并由所有APRU成员大学共同参与。在APRU框架下建立的公共卫生危机管理研究与教育平台，将为建立一个更安全、更健康的世界做出重大贡献。
